LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (KABC) -- After nearly two decades, Skypark at Santa's Village, near Lake Arrowhead, was reopening Friday.

Like the North Pole, the elves near Lake Arrowhead are pretty busy right now, but while Santa Claus still has a few weeks before Christmas, Skypark at Santa's Village needs to be ready for its grand reopening.

Project manager Bill Johnson said among other things, there will be an ice skating rink, a climbing tower, a train, restaurants, shops, and of course: Santa Claus.

Following the reopening, 40 new workers started working this week.

"There's a lot of people looking for jobs up here, there's not very many places, so when this opened up, and all these jobs here, it's a really nice thing," said employee Samantha Murphy.

But will the ticket price to get in to Skypark at Santa's Village keep some people from coming here?

"The price is $59 for adults, $49 for children. I don't see the attraction at those prices," said Cany Ahyet of Running Springs.

Johnson explained that the millions of dollars investigated in the park is what led to the spike in price.

"It's a nostalgic place," shared park goer Randy Ballinger. "And you're going to pay for something like that. Look at all the work they put in it. I mean, it's amazing."

Tickets to Skypark at Santa's Village are only available online.
