Taylor Swift breaks Staples Center record for most sold out shows

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Taylor Swift kicked off one of five sold out concerts at the Staples Center Friday night, breaking a record for the most sold out shows at the venue.

The 25-year-old now has 16 sold out shows at the Staples Center, which is a first in the venue's 15-year history. Los Angeles Lakers player Kobe Bryant surprised Taylor before her show began, presenting her with a special banner that was hung at the center in honor of her musical feat.

ABC7 reporter Darsha Philips was lucky enough to attend Swift's concert and spoke with fans in the video above.
