Thousands of painted spheres decorate MacArthur Park
More than 2,500 painted spheres float in the lake at MacArthur Park as part of an art installation called, "Portraits of Hope."

WESTLAKE DISTRICT, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- More than 2,500 painted spheres float in the lake at MacArthur Park as part of an art installation called, "Portraits of Hope."

The spheres will remain at the lake for a few weeks and then will be sent to brighten up hospitals and women's shelters throughout the Southland.
