'Game of Thrones' musical parody brings laughs to Hollywood stage
'Thrones! The Musical Parody' brings a funny spin of the hit HBO show to the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood.

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- HBO's "Game of Thrones" is one of TV's most popular shows, but it's currently on break.

However, at the Hudson Theatre in Hollywood, there's an alternative to consider: "Thrones! The Musical Parody."

"If you are coming to the show, be ready for spoilers," actor Jordan Stidham explained. "We say at the very beginning get ready to know everything about this show by the time that you leave."

The play features six actors playing 51 roles while covering the six seasons of the show in just 90 minutes.

"I think that we find something that other people are as passionate about as we are then we just find the details," producer Emily Dorezas described.

The show weaves in several other pop-culture spoilers as well, with songs referencing shows and movies such as "The Sixth Sense," "Citizen Kane," "Star Wars" and "Lost."

"The thing I heard the most is that we just had so much fun," actress Jessica Joy said. "Whether you've seen the show or not, whether you get the references or not, it's still just so fun."

"I think it's hilarious and twisted. It's light-hearted. It's a comedy," actor Chris Grace said. "We don't do anything that's more twisted than the show."

"Thrones: The Musical Parody" was such a hit at the Hudson Theatre that it was extended through Dec. 30.
