'Modern Family' video snags two Oscar tickets for contest winner
Tia Mell won two tickets to the Oscars by recreating the 'Modern Family' opening.

LOS ANGELES -- When celebrities stroll down the red carpet for Sunday's 88th annual Oscars, Tia Mell will have an up close and personal view of the glamour.

Mell won two tickets to attend the Oscar ceremony thanks to her winning entry in a Disney-ABC employee contest. She's a production secretary on Disney XD's animated show "Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero."

As soon as she heard about the contest, she grabbed her husband, a filmmaker, and they got to work. They had 48 hours to recreate a moment from their favorite Disney-ABC show and chose "Modern Family." The result was a homage to the sitcom starring her husband in a series of wigs and costumes as the lead characters.

Now they get to attend the Oscars, roam along the red carpet as the stars arrive, and of course snag as many selfies with celebs as they can manage.

She has plenty of favorites, but there's one in particular she hopes to meet or at least see in person.

"My ringtone on my phone is 'Eye of the Tiger,'" Mell said. "So I'm sort of dying to see Sly Stallone."
