Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park opens at Universal Studios Hollywood

UNIVERSAL CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Brush off your Nimbus 2000, because the day is here! The highly anticipated Wizarding World of Harry Potter is now officially open at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Witches, wizards and muggles will all be able to "Slyther-in" and see their favorite Potter places up close. Tickets were sold out for the big opening day.

Fans can hop on the attraction's signature ride, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, which is in 3-D. There's also the Flight of the Hippogriff ride, an outdoor roller coaster.

And of course, there's the food. Restaurants like Three Broomsticks and Hog's Head pub are dishing out all your favorite Potter eats, and you can get your fix for Magic Neep and Butterbeer at various carts throughout the attraction.

Universal estimates that the Harry Potter attraction will bring one million more tourists to Los Angeles.
