One of the best parts of any awards show is the glitz and the glam from the red carpet.

One thing that stood out last night was Saoirse Ronan's mismatched earrings. They featured the same design, but were different colors.

On the left, the earring is made of pearls. On the right, emeralds and jade to match her emerald-colored gown.

Now let's talk dresses. Cate Blanchett sports a new haircut and a sea foam-colored Armani prive gown to go with it. That dress probably costs thousands of dollars, but look what we found. Nordstrom offers a dress in the same color and similar embellishments for $580.

Priyanka Chopra, star of the ABC show 'Quantico,' wore a Zuhair Murad gown. I found one similar for $210, also at Nordstrom.

At the 2016 Oscars, we also saw a number of new trends that have fashionistas inspired.

First off, the sequins! We see them all the time, but this year, we're seeing dark sequins as a fashion trend.

Again, Saoirse Ronan's emerald green gown shined on the red carpet, and Naomi Watts showed up in a blue and purple number.

Sofia Vergara, star of ABC's 'Modern Family,' had dark sequins beneath the folds of her gown.

The other big trend of the night was going out in all white.

'Quantico' star Priyanka Chopra and Lady Gaga both wore it white and bright.

Braids were also big during Hollywood's big night. Chrissy Tiegan, Mara Rooney and Olivia Wilde all sported braids.
