FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Parents and police in Fontana are on alert after a man tried to kidnap the same 14-year-old girl two days in a row.

The incidents happened near Hemlock Avenue between Athol Street and Merrill Avenue.

The first incident occurred Tuesday around 5:30 a.m. when the girl was walking to the school bus stop. The suspect asked the teen if she needed a ride and tried to lure her into his minivan. When the girl ran off, police said the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

The very next day, the suspect approached the same girl again around 5:15 a.m. while she was walking to the school bus stop. Police said this time, the suspect got out of a car from the passenger side and told the girl that she could have nice things if she had sex with him.

Again, the girl was able to run away. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 35 and 45 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 230 pounds. Police said he spoke with a heavy Spanish-speaking accent. The car he was seen in was described as a dark-colored minivan.
