Fontana robber punches woman, flees with money

FONTANA, Calif. (KABC) -- Fontana police are searching for a robbery suspect who punched a female employee at a business before fleeing with money.

Officers responded to a robbery call last Thursday around 7:25 p.m. from a business in the 16700 block of Foothill Boulevard.

Investigators said the suspect barged into the business and ordered the female employee to give him money from the cash register. The employee handed him money, but when she tried to run away, the suspect punched her multiple times.

Police said the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as an African-American male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and blue pants.
