OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- A former elementary school teacher with the Hueneme Elementary School District has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for molesting students.

Juan Aguilar, of Oxnard, taught fourth grade at Williams Elementary School in Oxnard.

He was arrested in 2013 for incidents that occurred between 1999 and 2009.

In November, as his trial was about to begin, he pleaded guilty to multiple counts related to the sexual abuse of eight boys.
