Camarillo man arrested for lewd act with 3-year-old girl

CAMARILLO, Calif. (KABC) -- A Camarillo man was arrested Wednesday for committing a lewd act with a child under 10 years old.

Ventura County Sheriff's investigators arrested Adam Esquivel, 38, for allegedly inappropriately touching a 3-year-old victim while the girl was at his residence on the 2000 block of Herron Court.

Esquivel, a U.S. Navy serviceman, was held the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility on $250,000 bail. He was scheduled to be arraigned Friday.

Due to the seriousness of the crime, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office would like to know if Esquivel may have assaulted other victims.
