SILVER LAKE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Drivers were in for a shock Wednesday evening as gas prices soared by 30 cents per gallon.
AIR7 HD captured the moment the Chevron gas station at the intersection of Riverside and Fletcher drives in Silver Lake switched their prices from $2.49 per gallon to $2.79 per gallon.
The change took place at about 10:15 p.m.
Consumer Watchdog said the increase was caused by a switch from winter blend to summer blend gasoline.
