Dozens injured in tour bus accident on 60 East
Dozens of people were injured in a tour bus accident on the eastbound 60 Freeway in Hacienda Heights on Wednesday.

HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) -- Dozens of people were injured after a tour bus collided with a big rig and a truck on the eastbound 60 Freeway at 7th Avenue in Hacienda Heights on Wednesday.

The crash occurred at 9:42 a.m. A big rig rear-ended a large six-wheel truck, causing it to veer into the tour bus.

Andy Pndlyan, driver of the big rig, said he was forced to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting another car. His big rig veered directly into the path of a six-wheeler.

At least 30 people were injured, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Thirteen people, including the bus driver, were taken to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.

No fuel spill was reported. The accident remains under investigation.

The tour bus, operated by Bus Limo Express, was headed to the Pala Casino in San Diego County.

Ambulances were staged on the eastbound 60 Freeway at Crossroads Parkway, leaving only one lane open for traffic to get through. Lanes were reopened around 12:30 p.m.
