NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Northridge gym launched a program to help women going through rehab to get healthy and to help them stay on the path of sobriety.
The workout at Extreme Results Fitness mixes cardio with meditation to help hone skills beyond the gym.
Fitness pro Jeanette Ortega is putting "Freehab" residents through a program she trademarked called "Bootoga."
Freehab is a drug and alcohol rehabilitation program.
"So they're getting boot camp, high intensity, they're getting peacefulness with yoga and also time just to be still with meditation," Ortega explained.
Freehab manager Megan Chacon said their facility takes care of girls between the ages of 18 and 26 who need guidance and a place to stay.
Ortega's program offers a healthy outlet.
"When they get out, they have some kind of coping skill to continue on with their recovery because you'll be a recovering addict forever," Chacon stated.
