PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- Many men are sporting mustaches to bring awareness to men's health issues this November. The "Movember" movement is also getting the support of Pasadena firefighters from Station 31.
"Testicular and prostate cancer are the biggest cancers among men and this just kind of brings some awareness, and growing out a mustache shows that support," said Kyle Robinson of the Pasadena Fire Department.
The cause especially hits home for firefighter Tony Zee.
"I had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is one of the top cancers for firefighters. So me, being a survivor, I feel like I should promote and make other firefighters aware of cancers in the fire service," Zee said.
They celebrated by giving their mustaches a little tender-loving care from The Old Town Shaving Company and Sweeney Todd's Barbershop.
To show the importance of fitness in preventing men's health issues, they even challenged ABC7 meteorologist Bri Winkler to a push-up contest. Watch the Eyewitness News video above.
