HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Kids at a Hollywood elementary school got a visit from Chewbacca and BB-8 to help teach them the value of healthy eating and exercise.
The "Star Wars" characters participated in a program sponsored by UNICEF, which is working worldwide to help fight childhood malnutrition.
Kids in the program at Selma Avenue Elementary and other schools get a bracelet which tracks their physical activity.
When they earn enough points, they are rewarded with a food package specially designed with proteins and vitamins to help provide good nutrition.
According to UNICEF, 159 million children worldwide - or about one in four - are malnourished.
