Police investigate hit-and-run after man found dead on 170 Freeway

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police are searching for a possible hit-and-run driver after a man was found dead on the shoulder of the northbound 170 Freeway early Saturday.

The man's body was found on the freeway and Sherman Way shortly after midnight near his vehicle in North Hollywood, police said.

His name has not been released, but the California Highway Patrol said he is believed to be in his 20s.

Authorities said they have no information on the suspect, and they are investigating the cause of the crash.
