LA volunteers hand out tents for homeless amid cold spell
With temperatures dropping, volunteers with the PLUR Foundation handed out tents and jackets to the homeless on LA's Skid Row.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The cold spell that hit Southern California made for a tough Christmas weekend for the homeless.

To help out those who are on the streets, the PLUR Foundation handed out more than 500 tents, 700 jackets and other supplies to help keep them warm and dry.

"It gets cold and wet," said one man who was helped by the group, Mike Montana. "But you do what you have to do. It's called survival."
