AZUSA, Calif. (KABC) -- Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a 30-year-old man in Azusa late Wednesday.

The victim, Paul Arthur Espinosa, had walked out of his house just before 11 p.m. when his mother heard gunshots. Moments later Espinosa staggered back into the home and told her to call 911 because he had been shot, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators.

He collapsed on the couch and was later pronounced dead at the scene in the 17800 block of East Newburgh Street.

Detectives do not have a description of any suspects.
