'Heavy storage' in Los Angeles house fire; 1 killed

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- One person was killed Sunday during a house fire in the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles, fire officials said.

The fire broke out in the 1500 block of South Point View Street at about 4:50 p.m. Eighty-six firefighters knocked down the flames in about 30 minutes.

"Heavy storage" was reported in the home, said Shawn Lenske, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
