JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK (KABC) -- An investigation is underway at Joshua Tree National Park, where human remains were found.
A visitor found the partially buried remains on Saturday. A ranger then alerted the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Investigators are calling the discovery "suspicious" as they now work to identify the remains.
Earlier this month, hikers also found human bones in another part of the park.
