KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man intentionally crashed a car twice into a Jack in the Box in Koreatown on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said the man was attempting to get into the locked female restroom in the restaurant located in the 400 block of South Vermont Avenue at about 10:30 a.m.
The 42-year-old man caused a scene, then left the Jack in the Box only to return by crashing his vehicle into the restaurant, according to authorities.
He exited the car and attempted to get back into the female restroom, police stated.
Officers said the man then got back into his car, put it in reverse and crashed into the building a second time.
Authorities said there were 20 to 25 people inside the restaurant at the time of the incident. There were no injuries, according to police.
Officials said they believed the man was under influence of drugs or alcohol and he was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
The building suffered extensive damage, but is not expected to be red tagged.
