Man shot near burger joint in North Hollywood

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was shot near a burger restaurant in the 7400 block of Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood Thursday night.

At 6:45 p.m., Los Angeles police received a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon near Jimmy's Burgers.

When officers arrived at the location, a man was found suffering from non-life threatening injuries. The suspect had fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The investigation is ongoing.
