VALENCIA, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities are looking for the public's help finding a man who tried to kidnap a woman's two young children while she was jogging with them in a stroller in Valencia.

Sheriff's deputies say the woman was with her two children in a jogging stroller Wednesday around 10:50 a.m. at Magic Mountain and McBean parkways when a man approached her from behind.

He grabbed the handle of the stroller and tried to pull it away from her. They struggled over the stroller and the woman was able to grab it back from him and run away. She contacted sheriff's deputies, and they went to the location, but were unable to find the man.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 60s, possibly a transient. He has blonde hair and tattoos, stands about 5 feet 8 inches and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing a green shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station at (661)255-1121 or provide an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at (800)222-TIPS.
