Jorge Villegas, an LAPD assistant chief who is retiring, has been accused of improper sexual relationships with subordinates.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A Los Angeles Police Department assistant chief who recently announced his retirement has been accused of improper sexual relationships with subordinates, The Los Angeles Times reports.

Jorge Villegas has been with the department for nearly three decades, most recently overseeing the office of administrative services.

According to the Times, the allegations of sexual misconduct were referred to LAPD internal affairs for investigation earlier this month.
