LiAngelo, LaMelo Ball turn pro with club team in Lithuania
A professional Lithuanian basketball club signed LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball to pro contracts, making LaVar Ball's two younger sons ineligible for college basketball.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- From Chino Hills to Westwood to Lithuania - LiAngelo and Lamelo Ball, the younger brothers of Lakers star Lonzo Ball, have agreed to 1-year professional contracts with a Lithuanian basketball club.

The move makes LaVar Ball's two youngest sons ineligible for college basketball, and comes after 19-year-old LiAngelo left UCLA, which suspended him in the aftermath of his shoplifting arrest during the team's trip to China.

Lamelo, 16, had verbally agreed to play for the Bruins; he has been home-schooled since leaving Chino Hills High School as a junior.

The two teenage brothers signed with the Prienai-Birstonas Vytautas club, which plays in a lower-level European league. They are expected to report in January.

"We are committed to their long-term success and development as professional basketball players," said Vilius Vaitkevicius, the team's sports director.
