NEW YORK -- Meet the "Grandma Gamer" and her biggest fan that prove that true friendship has no age limit.

Shirley Curry is an 82-year-old grandmother living in a retirement community. She started gaming after her son gave her a computer to keep her busy and quickly became addicted. One of her favorite games is Skyrim, part of the Elder Scrolls franchise from Bethesda Game Studios.

When she started posting videos on YouTube of her playing, she only had a few followers, but that quickly turned into hundreds of thousands as soon as word got out about the "Grandma Gamer". Her followers started referring to her as grandma, and for one of her biggest fans, having that connection meant everything to him.

"My dad passed away, and then my grandmother-- she passed away like a year almost to the day he did. I sort of got back into games for, like, stress relief, and watching YouTube," says 26-year-old Joseph, who considers himself Shirley's biggest fan.
