Woman killed, man injured in Long Beach shooting

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman was killed and a man was injured following a shooting in Long Beach.

The incident happened around 11 p.m. Sunday near Hoffman Avenue and Ninth Street.

Both the man and woman were taken to an area hospital, where the woman died.

Police said the man was reported to be in stable condition and was expected to survive.

There was no word yet about a suspect or possible motive for the shooting.
