Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak's daughter dies at 15 after lengthy illness

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Alina Claire Kupchak, the daughter of Los Angeles Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak, passed away Monday after a lengthy illness. She was 15.

The team released the following statement on Twitter:

The specific cause of death was not immediately released. Kupchak has been the Lakers' general manager since 2000. He played in the NBA for 10 years, retiring in 1986.
