LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Members of the Los Angeles City Council launched a new pilot program to open dialogue about race.

"embRACE LA" asks Angelenos to weigh in on issues of race, ethnicity and diversity through an online survey.

The survey will end in December 2016, and the city's Human Relations Commission will report on its findings.
