5 people, including gunshot victim, hospitalized following crash in Lynwood

LYNWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- Five people were hospitalized after a crash happened in Lynwood as a shooting victim was being transported to a hospital Friday night.

The two-vehicle collision, involving six people, occurred around 9:50 p.m. near Alameda Street and east Imperial Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

It was not clear why the gunshot victim was struck prior to the crash.

There is no word on the condition of the victims.
