Magnitude 3.1 earthquake strikes near La Verne

LA VERNE, Calif. (KABC) -- A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck near La Verne Friday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake struck at about 6:05 p.m.

The quake had a depth of a little more than three miles. It hit 2.5 miles north of La Verne.

Information regarding damages to infrastructure or injuries were not immediately available.
