MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- A 77-year-old man suffered from lacerations after two men broke into his Malibu home and robbed him.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were called at about 10:50 p.m. Friday to an apartment complex in the 20700 block of Pacific Coast Highway.
The elderly man was taken in stable condition to a hospital, where he told investigators that two men confronted and assaulted him as he was watching television in his living room.
One suspect detained the man in the room, while the other looted the apartment. The two suspects stole unspecified property and personal items.
Doctors treated the victim for lacerations. It was unclear if he was stabbed or just hit with a sharp object.
Police do not have a motive for the crime and seek the public's help in identifying the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's detectives at (818) 878-1808.
