Storm brings snow to Mammoth Mountain

Heads up snowboarders and skiiers: The storm has brought snow to Mammoth Mountain.

As of 10:30 a.m. Monday, the main lodge of the ski resort received two inches of snow, according to a spokesperson for Mammoth Resorts.

The storm is expected to continue through Tuesday, and the area may get over a foot of snow by the end of the storm.

The cold temperatures will allow the resort to begin making snow in preparation for opening day, which is slated for Nov. 11. Opening day could be moved up if the resort receives enough snow.
