LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- An elderly man was struck and killed by a big rig while riding his bicycle on the northbound 103 Freeway in Long Beach early Monday.
The 60-year-old bicyclist was in the first of two lanes on Pacific Coast Highway around midnight when he was struck by the truck driver, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver called police, remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
