LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The historic bout between Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and Manny Pacquiao was delayed for a short time so that several cable systems across the country could fix overload issues.

Many people reached out to Charter, Cox Cable and Time Warner Cable regarding the delay issues.

Singer John Legend even tweeted out to Time Warner Cable about the outage issue.

Dennis Johnson with Time Warner Cable issued a statement to Eyewitness News:

"We're working on an issue affecting a small number of customers from ordering the fight successfully and are doing everything we can to resolve it as soon as possible."
