SANTA ANA (KABC) -- A Santa Ana strip mall was evacuated while a hazmat team investigated chemicals at a marijuana grow discovered at a business there.

The grow was found as Orange County sheriff's deputies were assisting an eviction procedure at a business in the strip mall in the 1700 block of East McFadden Avenue.

The deputies discovered a marijuana grow inside and called in Santa Ana police for assistance. Officers observed various types of chemicals inside and requested a hazardous materials team to help assess the materials.

Nearby businesses were evacuated as a precaution.
