Midnight Mission hosts annual Christmas brunch for those in need
The Midnight Mission celebrated its annual Christmas brunch, giving hundreds of people and families in need a warm meal and presents for the holiday.

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Midnight Mission celebrated its annual Christmas brunch, giving hundreds of people and families in need a warm meal and presents for the holiday.

At least 2,000 people were expected to show up Monday, and some people had started lining up on Christmas Eve.

Planning for the event starts in October, but fundraising is all year.

Another component of the brunch is that children who attend get to go to Santa's Village, where they can pick out four toys as their Christmas gifts.

Santa Claus will also be in attendance to bring some more holiday cheer to the families.

If you would still like to donate to help the cause, you can text MEALS to 71777 or go to midnightmission.org.

The brunch was from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
