21-year-old man shot in Moreno Valley; suspect sought

MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- A 21-year-old man was shot in his car in Moreno Valley Tuesday night, and authorities are now searching for the gunman.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a shots fired near Cheshire Drive and Cottonwood Avenue shortly before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Inglewood man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries. Seven shots were fired at his car, Sgt. Brandi Swan said.

The suspect's vehicle was only described as a white, four-door sedan. No further details were immediately released.
