MORENO VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Authorities arrested a suspect Sunday in a major vandalism spree in Moreno Valley.

The windows of at least 40 vehicles were shot out with a BB gun overnight on various streets north of Highway 60, between Kitching Street and Pigeon Pass Road, according to the Moreno Valley Police Department.

Brendan Griffis, 19, of Moreno Valley was arrested in this case. Police believe he is one of the primary suspects, and said they have possibly identified two additional suspects.

Investigators said they also recovered two BB guns, boxes of BBs and two CO2 cartridges.

Damage was estimated at approximately $10,000.
