SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Multiple shootings in South Los Angeles on Saturday morning left one person dead and three others wounded, one critically, authorities said.

Officers responded to a shooting call at about 4:30 a.m. and discovered several crime scenes, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department's Southeast Division said.

Outside of Memorial Hospital of Gardena, an unidentified person was found dead in a car that had been riddled with bullets, according to the LAPD.

At 90th and Hoover streets, a person was shot in the head and critically wounded. That patient was transported to California Hospital Medical Center in downtown, authorities said.

Two other shooting victims, both males, drove to a hospital after being shot in a vehicle at 88th and Hoover streets, police said.

The shootings were possibly related, the LAPD said, and investigators from the agency's Criminal Gang and Homicide Division were en route to the scenes.
