COLTON, Calif. (KABC) -- There will be an increased police presence at Colton High School on Friday after a threatening message was found inside one of the campus' bathrooms, officials said.

Someone wrote on a wall that they were going to shoot up the school on Friday, according to the Colton Unified School District.

Parents were notified after the handwritten note was discovered a few days ago, the school district said. Classes will not be canceled on Friday.

Colton police say they have no evidence to suggest that this is a credible threat.
