OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- Oxnard firefighters rescued a 15-year-old from a chimney in a leasing office, and authorities then arrested the teen on suspicion of burglary early Wednesday morning.

Around 3 a.m., Oxnard police officers responded to a call regarding a juvenile stuck in a chimney in the 1000 block of Kelp Lane.

Oxnard firefighters soon arrived and freed the teen from inside the chimney. A preliminary investigation showed the teen did not live in the area and is suspected of commercial burglary.

After he was medically cleared, authorities arrested the teen and booked him into Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
