Former 'Mrs. Orange County' pleads not guilty to multiple child porn charges

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A 25-year-old woman, who once held the title of Mrs. Orange County, appeared at a Newport Beach court Friday on charges of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Meghan Breanna Alt of San Clemente pleaded not guilty to multiple charges after confessing to several allegations of producing and electronically distributing child pornography involving a 4-year-old family member.

Investigators obtained evidence that Alt distributed the sexually explicit images to a U.S. Marine stationed in Southern California in exchange for cash and gifts.

Authorities also believe Alt advertised services through Craigslist, which many times resulted in an exchange of sex for money and was often occurring in front of her children.

A pretrial has been set for Jan. 15.
