Man, 61, found slain in Stanton motel room

STANTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A homicide investigation was underway after a man was found dead inside his motel room in Stanton Saturday.

Orange County sheriff's deputies said they responded to the Chester Inn Motel in the 10800 block of Beach Boulevard at about 10:16 a.m. after an employee found the 61-year-old man dead inside the room.

The victim was bleeding and suffered several traumatic injuries, authorities said. His name was not immediately released.

Homicide, crime scene and coroner investigators responded to the motel to process and collect evidence from the scene.
