Snoopy receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Snoopy became the first animated beagle to be inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday morning.

While Snoopy was excited to receive his star, the pup was extra pleased to have his located right next to his creator's star, Charles M. Schultz.

The spunky dog joins the list of famous animated characters with stars, including Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny and The Simpsons.

Schultz's beloved cartoon character will soon grace the big screen with all of his friends in the new "Peanuts" movie that is out Friday.
