BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif. (KABC) -- A 51-year-old Altadena man was arrested on suspicion of committing illegal sexual acts with a child under the age of 10.

According to Los Angeles police, David Lynn Sandstrom committed his crimes against the juvenile victim in Valencia as well as inside rental cabins in Big Bear Lake. Investigators said Sandstrom violated the victim multiple times over the last two years.

Detectives with the Big Bear Sheriff's Station executed a search warrant on Nov. 5 at Sandstrom's Altadena home. During the search, authorities seized electronic devices belonging to Sandstrom as evidence.

Authorities said Sandstrom was not at home during the search, and he became evasive when deputies tried to locate him. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Sandstrom hired a lawyer and surrendered himself to sheriff's officials on Tuesday. He was booked into West Valley Detention Center on felony charges of lewd lascivious acts against a child under the age of 14, oral copulation on a victim under the age of 10 and sending harmful matter to a child for the purpose of seduction.

He remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail. An arraignment was scheduled for Thursday.
