Police pursue possible shooting suspect in wild chase

GLASSELL PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police pursued a possible shooting suspect in wild chase in Los Angeles County on Tuesday.

Officials said the chase started at about 10:35 p.m. in Highland Park.

The suspect led Los Angeles police on a high-speed pursuit.

Officials said the man may possibly be connected to a shooting.

The suspect crashed on the 5 Freeway near the 2 Freeway transition as sparks flew and the vehicle careened off the freeway.

The man fled on foot before surrendering to officers in Glassell Park.
