Man shot to death outside San Bernardino apartment complex

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KABC) -- San Bernardino police are looking for whoever killed a 28-year-old man outside an apartment complex.

Police received a call around 9:30 p.m. Monday from the 200 block of East Sonora Drive.

Investigators say the victim, identified as Kendrick McNeil, had just gotten home from the store with his wife. As she was carrying some groceries into their apartment, she heard gunshots and ran out to find her husband suffering from gunshot wounds.

McNeil was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police do not know the motive behind the shooting. They are investigating whether it may have been gang related.
