28-year-old man fatally shot in Koreatown; suspect sought

KOREATOWN, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after a 28-year-old man was shot and killed in Koreatown on Sunday night, police said.

The possibly gang-related shooting occurred near the intersection of S. Gramercy Place and Wilshire Boulevard at about 9:40 p.m.

The suspect walked up to the victim, shot him multiple times and fled the scene, the LAPD said.

Peter Yu was pronounced dead at the scene. A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
